Estimate

Volume = length × width × depth; loose volume = bank volume × (1 + swell). Trips round up, with capacity assumed constrained by the appropriate safe/legal load limit. Verify weight limits separately; this tool does not check them. Quote = contingency-adjusted cost ÷ (1 − target margin), before tax. Margin differs from markup. Disposal rates use loose volume here; convert separately if your supplier charges by weight or bank volume. Prevent double counting operator labour when equipment rate already includes it.

Scope checks: utilities/locates, access, ground conditions, shoring, permits, contamination, water handling, imported fill/compaction, restoration and exclusions. These need competent project review. The calculator is not design or safety guidance.
